Full Job Description
Remote-based. Must be physically located in the United Kingdom.
We are looking for exceptional CV writers to join our team. We are a 100% remote-based business, helping individuals during transitional periods in their professional careers. As a member of our CV writing team, you’ll write CVs, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and other career-related documents. You’ll also have the opportunity to provide personalised application assistance, interview preparation, and other career consulting services.
As a member of our writing team, you will:
Have your own company email address.
Interact directly with customers via email (primarily), in addition to occasional phone communication, as indicated by customer preference.
Have access to team resources to assist in navigating through our systems/processes and interacting with customers.
The following outlines a few characteristics that will help determine if you will fit well with our company:
Access to a consistent workflow process. Our job board consists of a recurring, consistent workflow of incoming orders, that offers a high degree of flexibility in when and how much you work. When customers place an order, it goes to our job board, where you choose to request the jobs you want, whenever you are available. Orders are not assigned to specific writers.
Ability to work with a lot of autonomy. We provide general guidelines and advice on how to interact with customers, but you have a lot of discretion in how you complete orders and are encouraged to find a process that makes you the most effective and efficient with your time.
Build relationships with a variety of customers. Interaction with customers will be completed primarily via email. Building a good rapport gives customers confidence during what is typically an uncertain transitional period in their careers.
Prepare customers for the current job market. You be able to do more than interact with clients to complete their CVs. Some orders will also consist of other components such as cover letters, LinkedIn profile optimisation, career consulting/coaching, etc.
HOURS / COMMITMENT
Hours are highly flexible. Generally speaking, we are looking for writers that can complete 10-20+ CVs per month (the more, the merrier). Our writers request jobs that are available based on their interest and availability to fulfill them.
All CV writers are paid based on the number of orders they complete. We offer competitive rates, but we don’t currently post them publicly. We will reach out to qualified applicants with a rate schedule. Our full-time writers typically earn £2500 to £4000 per month. Our part-time writers typically earn £1250 to £2000 per month. Payments are made every week, on Monday.
3+ years of experience in CV writing OR 5+ years of cumulative experience in the following areas: Human Resources (hiring), career services, career consulting, or recruiting
Certification from one of the major career organisations is preferred but not required (NRWA, CDI, CPRW, CRS etc.)
Knowledge of various CV formats, ATS capabilities and the ability to determine the best formats for each individual
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work with a high level of autonomy and responsibility
